Breakfast

Granola (preparation time +/- 40minutes)

In our family we all love a good breakfast. Especially when it contains my very easy to make homemade granola! I serve it with a bit of full-fat organic yoghurt and I usually add (dried) fruit as well. It is an extremely nutritious and delicious breakfast. Hopefully, you will be able to find a moment to make this granola too. You will never go back to store-bought granola EVER again!

Necessities:

1 big bowl
Baking tray
Parchment paper
1 cup of chopped raw walnuts
1 cup of chopped raw pecans
1 cup of chopped raw brown almonds
1 cup of chopped raw hazelnuts
1 cup of unsweetened cranberries
6 or cups of oats
1 cup of Maple Syrup (feel free to use even less)
2 or 3 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

You don’t have to use the exact same nuts, but the ratio of nuts and oats should be more or less the same.

How to prepare:

Preheat the oven at 150 degrees Celcius. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper. Put all the chopped nuts, the oats, cranberries, cinnamon and Maple Syrup in a large bowl and mix all the ingredients until everything is coated with syrup. Place everything on the baking tray and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. Make sure you stir the ingredients after 15minutes.
After baking, the granola should be completely cooled down before putting it in a storage jar.
Since the nuts/oats ratio is rather high in this granola, you only need ½ cup per serving. It will be a great way to start your day!
